ADVISER TO THE COMMUNITY CHAPTER
Kayla Bomeli is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and a current student in the Accelerated Master’s Program at the UM School of Education. After completion of her teaching certificate program, she wishes to pursue a career in education, from teaching to policy reform. Kayla’s greatest passion is education and thus looks forward to a fulfilling her life with educational advocacy. As a three year member of the executive board of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor chapter of Books for a Benefit, Kayla spent the majority of her time working with schools to put on Literacy Days and sustaining tutoring programming. In her new position as Advisor to the Community Chapter, Kayla looks forward to continuing her work with BFB by serving as a liaison for the next generation of educational advocates. Every student — no matter their gender, race, or socioeconomic background — deserves to have someone who values their education. What Kayla loves most about BFB is that it contains team of individuals who do just that.
