EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FOUNDER
Nadine Jawad is a graduate of the University of Michigan Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. She was awarded and accepted the Rhodes and Truman Scholarships and will be studying at the University of Oxford, England from 2018-2020. Nadine’s motivation behind founding Books for a Benefit was her love for books and her belief in the ability for anyone to find love for reading if given the best opportunity to do so. She says, “Helping students find the right books and giving them fun spaces to work in can longitudinally impact their desire to read.” She believes that schools are the foundation of all other aspects of society and it is our duty to do our part in empowering the students of our community.
